Assistance for individuals and families finance the purchase of homes throughout Salt Lake County

Home Improvement Programs:

Assist residents with upgrades and critical home repairs to correct code and safety violations and to improve living conditions.

Lead – Safe Housing Program

Provides loans and grants to control and eliminate lead-based paint hazards in housing built prior to 1978.

HOME Program
(Affordable Housing Development and Housing Assistance)

HOME funds can be used to finance two basic housing activities: homeownership and rental housing

Housing Assistance Rental Project (HARP)

HARP finds housing units in the community for the homeless individuals and families

Residents Against Graffiti (RAG)

RAG program teams up with concerned citizens to assist County residents and business owners with community education and resources to clean up graffiti

Community Development Block Grants (CDBG)

CDBG provides annual financial support for the structural and building needs of low-income individuals and economically disadvantaged communities

Social Services Block Grants (SSBG)

Provides annual financial support to non-profit, community-based and governmental agencies to provide social service assistance

Refugee Targeted Assistance Grant (TAG)

Provides funding for non-profit community-based organizations to administer transitional services to assist refugee populations with integrating into local communities.

Rental Housing Development

Pass through funds are available to for-profit and non-profit housing developers creating additional affordable and adequate housing and housing units.
